The wheels of Spokesman

So we've been out of school for over a month. It has been nice, a little hot and somewhat relaxing, for me anyway. But I have also reached the point where I start building back up for the new school year (as opposed to slowing down and relaxing from the old). That's right, it's time to start working on Spokesman 2006-07 Volume 43.

So far, I have sent out letters regarding our summer meetings the week before school starts. I've heard back from the Feature Editor. That's good. I spoke to the Focus editor, but she wasn't ready to make plans for her meeting yet. That, and it was late on a Sunday night, so I really don't remember what we spoke about. Now, I need all of the other section editors to call me, email me, get in contact with me to set up their meeting times. I think I'm going to send reminder emails this afternoon.

I have also sent out letters to the editors about the Nashville Convention. I've heard back from 4 who are going. There are still a few days left in July, so I'm hoping I'll hear from a few more. It should be a great trip.

My next big task is to set up the grade sheets and fix up the classroom. I think I'll get to that next week.

Not too bad for half way through the summer!
